Did you know deafness is one of the very few disabilities that – if detected and treated early – can all but be overcome? It’s hard to think of a more significant way that you could transform a child’s life than by giving them the gift of sound.
Each year on Loud Shirt Day, like-minded people across the country get together to raise national awareness and funds to give this life-changing gift to Australian children who are deaf or hearing impaired.
This year on Saturday October 29th, we are holding an airport open day to help raise money for Loud Shirt Day. All money raised will go directly towards helping The Shepherd Centre to continue providing life-changing Early Intervention therapy for kids.
We will have a range of activities for the children, plus getting loud with our planes and helicopter with regular rides.
Activities on the day will include helicopter, aeroplane and simulator flights, a jumpy castle, face painting, live music, firefighters and much more.
There will be lunch and drinks available as well as lucky door prizes and prizes for the ‘loudest clothes” on the day.
Come along and help us raise money for this amazing cause.
October 29, at Cambridge Airport from 10:30am until 3:00pm.
Entry via a gold coin donation.
We hope to see you all there in your loudest clothes!
